Dickens is upon us, and don't we just love Dickens Christmas Festival!
As we can usually expect, you shall find the Rochester Castle Gardens open and full of tents, each of their own taste, a selection of fun rides and booths for all round family fun!
A little birdy even tells us there's a Children's Christmas Village inside the Rochester Castle gardens! You must book in advance, however. £10 per child and up to adults go free!
As expected, traffic and parking through Rochester is likely going to be a bit tense. Nu-venter are operating a park and ride scheme from Greenwich university near Chatham Dockyard. Pick-ups are available from the bus stop outside the adult education centre (which is located directly behind the Casino Rooms nightclub and next door to the Rochester library). The bus stop itself is on the main drag called Corporation road, on the side where traffic heads toward Strood.
There will be tours, parades, food & drink standards (of course!)
If you get stuck, head to the visitor centre on Rochester High Street.
PS, the weather is bitter! Wrap up warm and have fun!
PPS, it was very foggy today, make sure you familiarise with your fog lights before you set off!
