This client originally came to us wanting a thorough health check on electrics after they had recently bought this property and were generally doubtful about how the electrics were put together. Some time later they approached us when they were renovating their bathroom, which is placed at the rear property like many others like it, with a flat roof above and lots of exterior walls.
This means that, like many properties with this configuration, they were suffering with condensation and the resulting damp and mould that comes with it.
They wanted a little refresh for the bathroom and they were desperate to get a handle on the condensation from the cold walls. Their little project included dropping the ceiling for two purposes - it gave us the room the install a big in line extractor fan, and it also gave them a void to fill with insulation, to help keep the cold out.
The old down lights were taken from the original ceiling and new ones installed in the new lowered ceiling. A chrome extractor fan vent was installed in the ceiling in the shower area, and a smart RGB LED disco light was installed as an access hatch to the extractor fan in the ceiling to help for future maintenance purposes. Did I mention this light can bluetooth to your phone and you can change the colour of the light, and if that wasn't good enough, you play music through it!
