A ceiling tile light we investigated for not coming on - after satisfying ourselves there was good strong power delivery to the light, we concluded it was a faulty light fitting and we recommended an LED upgrade.

In fact, in 2024, LED lighting is pretty much the only way you can go.

Old flourescents were helpful at the time in the 1990's and 2000's, and to a degree in the 2010's, but they have now been phased out as part of the government initiative and actually - even trying to find an old flourescent bulb for these old lights will be quite a big challenge!

LEDs run cooler and use less energy for the same lighting output. And with the economies of scale we have for LED lighting these days, they really aren't very expensive at all!
