Sometimes a client will call us after their routine maintenance checks, and they find that one of their emergency lights are no longer coming on when they simulate a power outage. After the initial investigation to find the power delivery is still in good order, we set about getting the faulty light fitting replaced.

Like many things in this life, devices that are battery operated often fail due to the battery rather than the device itself. The same can usually be said about devices that use transformers.
