did you know, once upon a time Lordswood was really just woodland and farm land? it's interesting that some of the main roads clearly adopted the names of the woods upon which they lie. 
Yes there was Lordswood, and it was likely located in the region of:- the top of Darget's, Kestrel shops, and the Revenge road industrial estate. 
There was also a Ballens rough! which explains the Ballens Road estate, And of course, Dargets wood, and a North Dane Wood! ...One of the slightly creepier names, and we're forever grateful the name wasn't adopted, was catsbrain Wood, which looks to have existed opposite where Morrisons now stands (sorry, guys!)
